Earlier this year, I had the great honor of joining about 70 members of the Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional DevLabs program to lead them through a two-hour introduction to Intentional Life Planning.
Thank you to First Interstate Bank for providing copies of “Write, Open, Act: An Intentional Life Planning Workbook” to all the attendees.
They were an extraordinary group—full of energy, and ready to attack the topic with gusto! We had given them questions in advance from Step 1, “Uncover Your Life’s Wishes,” that would help them identify some of their life goals. Most had done the homework; some had not.
But when they got to the butcher paper and started adding their input, they didn’t pause––they had so many wonderful goals and wishes!
“Get married” “New job” “Final car payment” “$10K in savings” “Go to Egypt” | “New Zealand” “Buy house or property” “Get a dog” “Take a trip to the coast” “More family time” |
They riffed off each other. Talked. Had fun! (Planning your life should be fun!)
Take a look at these wonderful photos and get inspired: Here are young people, at the beginning of their professional lives, relishing life and thinking about what’s ahead.
That night, we happened to visit the home of Intentional Life Planning alumni Lisa and Steve, who showed us their Intentional Life Plan hanging in their bedroom. In one day, we were able to see how useful Intentional Life Planning can be to people of different ages and life experience!
We are visual creatures: Be sure your Intentional Life Plan is hanging somewhere in your home so you can see it daily, even if from the corner of your eye (it activates the universe). Create an appointment to visit your plan monthly.
Regardless of your age, what’s ahead for you? Add your life goals to your Intentional Life plan timeline right now!

Thanks, YPs, for the five-star reviews!
Lee Weinstein is available to speak at your conference or off-site, too. His next Intentional Life Planning introductory workshop is with the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce on May 7.
